Introduction of 4th in-class essay.

Usually, children live off their parents' help. They can't make decision without their parents' assistance and they always need their parents' help in order to survive. This is sstill the usuall familiy pattern, but there are many families that are unusual. In such families, children no longer depend on their parents and children's help are indispensable for parents' lives. In other words, the family role is inverted. Some people say that it has some positive effects, yet the parent-child role reversal has negative influence on children because of the following two reasons.

Last Friday, I was working at the restaurant as a waiter. A couple, who came just now, began to complain. The men screamed that he had found hair in his soup, and called me. I asked him if something is wrong. He shouted that he didn’t want the soup with hair, so I apologized to him, saying that I was so sorry. Also, I suggested that if he wanted, I could bring him something else instead of the soup. Although I was trying to be nice for him, he didn’t give me a chance. He was very rude. He screamed that he didn’t want anything else from my restaurant, and it was my fault. In addition, he screamed that he wanted to speak with my manager immediately. Unlike him, his wife requested him to calm down. And then, she said that it was not a big dial, and they could order other things. However, the man was so furious that stood up and yelled on me that I was so stupid because I couldn’t help even him. Also, he inquired me who gave this job to me. However, He was too much, and I couldn’t stand it anymore. Therefore, I told him that I was going to leave, and he was no longer my customer, good-bye. Right after me, his wife acted in the same way as what I did. She said to him that he made her embarrassed in the restaurant because of just his soup, good-bye.

1. One day, I was having a great time with my friend in the restaurant.

He asked, “How is wine?”  I replied gladly, “It’s fine. I like it.”

2. Suddenly, he looked soup carefully and found something in the bowl.

“Don’t you think it is an insect?” he said angrily.

After I saw that, I answered, “Oh, something is in the soup, but I'm not sure what it is exactly.”

3. He was very upset, so he called waiter, “Excuse me, hey! Waiter! Come here and look at this!”  The waiter was also embarrassed because of his sudden resentment.

4. “How can it happen in this popular restaurant? I visited other famous restaurants, but I have never seen such a terrible situation,” He shouted. The waiter tried to explain, “I’m so sorry. Can you give me some time to check it?” However, my friend couldn’t control himself and began to shout abuse. “Please, calm down. Give him time to check the soup,” I kept him from swearing because I saw serious embarrassment from the waiter.

5. After all, the waiter couldn’t stand continuous insult anymore and ran out of the restaurant. However, my friend didn’t stop swearing and all of customers looked at us.

6. I was so ashamed of his ungentlemanly behavior that I left my seat even though I didn’t eat anything except wine.

Self-introduction

Hi, everyone.
My name is Jipyo Hong. I'm 23 years old (born in Sep12, 1987) and from South Korea. I live in Leonia, New Jersey. I major in Physical Therapy Assistant. I want to study the major and body, therapy, and disease,,, or any health science part as soon as possible but I have to pass ESR courses. However, I really glad to take this course because this class made me have lots of cool friends.
I have some various experiences. I have served military service for  two years and worked part-time at diverse places: cinema, restaurant, and private institutes to earn money for studying abroad. I mean I'm sociable and outgoing, so I sincerely hope to get along with you guys interestingly and enjoy this class with professor Kim.
My major in Korea was physical education (teaching sports) and I like playing or watching any sports very much. Therefore, I want to play sports or go to Yankee Stadium to see baseball game ( Of course, after studying hard...^^)
As a last, I have not overcome language problem; in other words, I'm weak in English. Hence, even if you feel nervous when you talk with me, I hope you to understand me. Then, I will be able to get over this obstacle thanks for you.
